Japan Aviation Electronics Industry Co., Ltd. has developed the ‘DX07 Series’ of I/O connectors compliant with the USB Type-C standard. As a company participating in connector standardisation through the USB-IF (USB Implementers Forum), the company will progressively release a full range of USB Type-C products, including plugs, sockets, and cables.

For plugs, product lines featuring dual-switch cards (Paddle-card) and E-Marker are available. For sockets, there are dual-row SMT types and SMT/through-hole hybrid types. For various terminal package types, there are on-board and mid-mount types. For cables, there are cables with Type-C plugs on both ends based on the USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 standards, as well as cables with Type-C plugs and STD.A plugs.

The features of the DX07 series are as follows: Compliant with USB Type-C Specification Release 1.1; supports high-speed data transfer at 10 Gbit/s (compliant with USB 3.1 Gen2); supports high-current power delivery of up to 5A (compliant with USB Power Delivery specifications); features a reversible structure that allows insertion from either side; strong EMI/EMC performance; designed to ensure mechanical strength for both connectors and plugs.

Main performance parameters are as follows: Number of pins: 24; Maximum rated current: 5A; Rated voltage: AC 20V r.m.s.; Contact resistance: Initial value below 40mΩ; Withstand voltage: AC 100V r.m.s., 1 minute; Insulation resistance: Initial value above 100MΩ; Operating temperature range: -30°C to +80°C; Mating life: 10,000 cycles.
